I can hold my head up on the beach this summer. I am the proud owner of this Orla Kiely bag. It seems to me that Grayson Perry missed a trick leaving Tesco designer bags out of his middle-class tapestry. Trust a bloke in a frock to get it wrong.
Of course, it is irredeemably middle-class to check out what they're fetching on e-Bay.
Bloody hell, my investment has more than doubled.
I'll be upper-class before you know it at this rate.

      Sorry if you've had hiccups with the comments, Noelle; I know it plays up sometimes.
      David Copperfield is proving to be a brilliant idea. The longest book our book group has ever chosen, and I hadn't read it since I was school ... But I'm enjoying it so much and there's so much that I'd forgotten or had passed over my head in my teens. And other bits that I remember almost word for word. Go on, jump in ...

      Amazing is it not when something we thought we know well reveals yet another facet... I can only summarized it as a deep consciousness in all of us that there is something deep in it we MUST yet discover.
      Favourites books and movies never tire me...i.e. Mrs. Miniver...The Fourties seems to attract me so...particularly that movie...
      I just realize we do not own a copy of David Copperfield! Must remedy that!

    I'd love to see the movie of Mrs Miniver again, Noelle. I've only ever seen it once and it never seems to be on television, I don't know why when some things come around again and again.

      Mrs. Miniver and Hope & Glory reflects my husband's childhood to a 'T'! I love the first one in particular for the embodiment of true Briton stamina (personally experienced for the last four decades!).
      It is very true things go in full circle and we could learn a thing or two from the past!
