Heartbreaking performance by Bill Nighy as the desiccated civil servant 'Mr Zombie' and a wonderful evocation of 1950s London, even if it is a good 20 minutes too long (but I say that about everything, every time).
What a balmy evening in London tonight; I wandered through Mayfair on my way home from the cinema and people were having dinner outside restaurants and gathering outside the pubs with their drinks ... you'd think it was August, not nearly into November.

It's like that in Edinburgh too - people sitting outside. I know it's global warming and therefore a Bad Thing, but it's also... um... quite nice...
I know, especially with heating bills going up! I'd normally be sitting here with the heating on full blast, and most evenings I haven't succumbed.
Looks good, Mary!
Yes, the sitting outside in almost November us weird but also very pleasant...

Definitely a film for the older generation, Vronni! No sitting outside tonight - I looked at the rain and decided on a night in.
Oh I will watch Bill Nighy in anything!
