I've barely caught up with wisteria,
but already roses are dropping petals
in the garden.
Is it just me,
or did somebody push the fast switch?

  1. April roses. It's a bit much, isn't it, Sue? I noticed the buds unfurling last weekend. Watch this space for the holly and the ivy!

  2. I am finding this accelerated Spring a bit scary. But there are bloggers over the water wondering when it's ever going to stop snowing.

  3. I know, Lucille. But tonight we had supper in the garden and wore linen shirts - and I didn't feel the need of a jacket until midnight.
But you're right ... accelerated spring is going too fast for me.

  4. We're definitely on fast forward this year! Already feel like I'm behind in the garden, and we've only just started...

  5. Come and visit Newcastle. Sunny front of street: bluebells, poppies, narcissus.

Cold back yard: leaves and buds. Just.

Indoors: central heating on till house thaws out. Socks and sweaters till elevenses.

  6. It's the same here, things are blooming so quickly there's no time to enjoy them before the next one starts, hope it slows down before summer comes and everything melts.

  7. Hello Janet, good to have a visitor from Georgia! You're so right, I feel I haven't had time to enjoy it all properly.
Rachel, I can't believe you've still got the heating on!
Kristina, I can't tell you how much I loathe gardening. It's outdoor housework.

  8. Definitely the fast switch - I just can't keep up, especially with the weeds!

  9. Pomona, I'm feeling inspired by a recipe I saw on another blog for dandelion jam. Then I could claim that they're a crop!
