I've been re-reading
The Hare with Amber Eyes which is just as good second time round. But one of the things that frustrated me last time was that I wanted to see Edmund de Waal's collection of netsuke. (The paperback at least has a picture of the hare on the cover.)
This must be fairly new to his site. I love his ceramics, and went through his website when I read the book a little while ago. Thank you for putting the link, as I probably wouldn't have looked at the website again for ages.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't pictured them to be so detailed and if I'm honest, some are a tad scary! Thanks for sharing the link, Mary.
ReplyDeleteDonna has promised to lend me the book soon, so thank you so much for the tip! Now off to cow training...

I've just bought the book and am anticipating beginning to read it. Thank you for the link to the Netsuke.
ReplyDeleteI've got this lined up to read (after Kristina!) - I believe I first ordered it as Paris Read suggestion from you!
ReplyDeleteVeg artist and Toffeeapple, hello - delighted to receive comments from new people!
ReplyDeleteDarlene, I can't say that I love them as objects although I can see there's great craftsmanship there.
Kristina and Miranda, do hope you enjoy it. There's not many books that I love enough to read twice. And Kristina ... good luck with the cows!
