My cake decorating skills have never progressed beyond a dab of glacé icing and a cherry but I'd love a Charleston birthday cake. And I can't decide whether I'm impressed or shocked by cheats'
ready-printed icing.
My oven bakes everything on a tilt so I'm not sure that I'd achieve the effect, anyway.
Mary, you're priceless! I always feel better when you come up with such a gem!
ReplyDelete(so glad too I am NOT the only woman who'se oven's results hinges on the Pizza Tower effect!)
Noelle, now I think of it, it's just a posher and far more expensive version of those cake toppers that come with children's cake-mix. Who needs Charleston when you could have Tom and Jerry!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'm impressed! Must admit to a bit of a guffaw at first but once I clicked on the link...well, apologies to the company.
ReplyDeleteIn our house a tilted cake just means more icing on the lower end...it's win - win!
£20 for a sheet of icing?!
ReplyDeleteI used to design and decorate cakes by hand and charged not much more than that for the whole shebang.
Yes, well, nothing Charleston comes cheap, Toffeeapple! Quite a price, I agree.
