For sure, I'll want to go - and I know there were four hour queues in New York. But my heart sinks at the thought that there are people who will book tickets for an exhibition a whole year in advance. This was only announced last night, but already it seems there's high demand ...
But I think I'll stick to my usual policy of leaving it to the last minute.

  1. This is when I'm glad I have V & A membership. I really wanted to see this when it was in New York but resisted jumping on a plane!

  3. I didn't know it was coming to London! It must have been three years ago now that I saw it in New York. It is a brilliant exhibition, but I wouldn't be booking tickets a year in advance or queuing up for four hours for it! I just walked straight in at the Met!

  4. That's what I'm counting on, Rachel. Never believe what you read in the papers!

  5. The Hollywood Costume exhibit was the same. If memory serves, it was timed tickets but we just strolled up, bought tickets and were in with no problem.
We have our eye on a trip over early next July unless I show up on my own earlier - so either way!

  6. What else are you planning, Darlene? You put me to shame, you fit so much into a week. Summer opening at Downton Abbey?

  7. You're giving me ideas. A train trip out to Cambridge is in order and I would love to visit York. A stop at Heywood Hill and Slightly Foxed are also on the agenda. And I have to eat at Dolly's in Hampstead again! Oh and definitely Denis Severs this time...see, this is how it all gets started and I just can't help myself.
