The amaryllis bulb that I bought in October in hopes that it might flower on Christmas Day ...
Was finally planted today.
Two months procrastination about such a simple job that took about two minutes.
Luckily, amaryllis are also very nice in February.
Maybe I'll plant those tulips in the front garden before Spring.....
ReplyDeleteRachel, I've still got some daffodils that didn't make it into the ground, was it two years ago, maybe three - but somehow I never admit defeat and throw them away.
ReplyDeleteI planted my amaryllis ages ago and had given it up for dead. I just checked it. There is a 5mm green shoot appearing so not much hope for a Christmas flower.
ReplyDeleteI never give up on them, Lucille. Dead and neglected specimens have surprised me in the past.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes wonder if they'd like a feed of something though I never do.
