I'm going to Atlanta for that $300 and I've got to go looking like a queen ...

Of all the fabulous costumes in the V&A's Hollywood Costume exhibition, the one I really, really want to see is Scarlett's green curtain dress  (and the chicken feather hat that goes with it).

The Batsuit? Not so much.

I know they've got Pirates of the Caribbean, Sue - and loads more, Dorothy's dress from the Wizard of the Oz.
And Harry Potter's school uniform.

Usually those costumes are so tiny they make me feel amazonian.

Vivienne Leigh was like a doll, Libby. And there's a story in the catalogue about them making two - or maybe it was three - dresses out of one tablecloth for The English Patient.

Have you ever seen the Carol Burnett skit where she is Scarlett O'Hara wearing her 'curtain' dress with the rod still intact? It can be seen on youtube, I didn't get the joke as a child but it makes me smile now.

But I think I'd prefer it by French and Saunders, Darlene.

Now that's what I should be wearing to the wedding. No half measures.

Go on, Lucille - I dare you! But don't stint, it really ought to be an organic chicken.
