I don't suppose I'll ever be in the front row at a couture show. The little gold chair would most likely collapse under me.
But do look at this because the Valentino show earlier this evening was simply exquisite.
Sigh.

Wow - so pleased a great friend and I are going to the Valentino exhibition, about the closest I'll get to a couture show.
I must try to catch that before it closes. Meant to go to Cartier-Bresson, too, and it's closing very soon.
But aren't those dresses fabulous?
Very pretty! I'm so glad I caught this after my healthy breakfast of oatmeal. Watching a fashion show after a whopping great dinner never fails to cause some regret.
p.s. - caught up on some of your posts, Mary. The Meals on Wheels plan sounds excellent!
Yes, Darlene, that haughty look is so much easier to achieve with cheekbones!
I would never have gone searching for that sort of clip...I have always loved fashion but because I am so short, I have only a few styles I can pull off. So,thank you...the fluidity, the grace and elegance of this collection...I was transported. And I realised that so many of the silhouettes were so simple that even I could actually wear some of the items (minus the price tag and if they were hemmed up about a foot or so!) Often designers move into creating art for themselves rather than something truly wearable and classic. This collection was classic and magnificent...a feast for the eye. I hope that the purveyors of affordable fashion are busy sketching these silhouettes...as I would love to see similar dresses everywhere a year from now.
Absolutely beautiful Mary! Thanks for sharing!
Sad...Wellies and Mac are the only outfit 'de rigueur' on this island...
Beautiful!
