I didn't notice through all the rain but now spring has crept up on me unawares. I felt quite a shock when I noticed my neighbour picking armfuls of daffodils the other day ...
And today I came upon a magnolia, not quite in full bloom but almost there.
Those February torrents are bringing forth March flowers.
Now where are my sandals?
Isn't it heavenly? I actually removed my jacket whilst walking the dig this morning!

ReplyDeleteI was so glad to see our magnolia budding and then suddenly fearful of a frost. Last year they came out so late that they were well clear of any frost risk and lasted for ages. I've never seen them looking better.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly they seem to be everywhere, Lucille.
ReplyDeleteJude, I had tea yesterday sitting outside at Petersham Nurseries.
I can offer up a tiny cherry tree in bloom.
