I spent an evening last week re-reading Mr Pooter for the umpteenth time. I suppose these days, he'd be writing a blog or instagraming his red bath-tub.
This time it struck me that he looked rather familar.

Some people don't get this book but it's my top comfort read and, like you, I've read it umpteen times. I have three copies; one on the Kindle so that it's always available.
I liked the TV version with Hugh Bonneville.
I'd forgotten the TV version, callmemadam - must see if it's on Youtube. I love the idea of having Mr Pooter always to hand!
Yes, it's a fab book but I read it so long ago - I must revisit it! And there's a TV series too!
The guy in the bath looks like any male hipster of a certain age...
Mr Pooter would be appalled to be called a hipster, Veronica; sounds like something Lupin would say.
