Bizarre Christmas tip from today's Sunday papers: Show your light-hearted side ... pop a few chocolates into unexpected containers, such as wellies outside the front door for guests to help themselves to as they leave.
Suppose it's a change from a tin of Quality Street. But don't feel obliged to on my account.

How appetising - chocolates inside somebody's wellies. Yuk. The dog would find them first, of course......

Horrid, isn't it ... wellies are always so smelly.
And somebody would be bound to put the wellies on and get chocolate all over their socks. Bit like falling asleep on the chocolate on your pillow in hotels.
Oh good grief. I always shake my wellies before puttng them on in case there's a spider inside.
Sounds more like Hallowe'en and trick or treat to me!
