Oh wonderful, my very favourite artist. I've probably mentioned to you before that I my mum is a very good friend of Eric's daughter and I was lucky enough to see a lot of his works up close when I was a child. Not to mention those of Thirzah, the Nashes et al.
What date is this exactly ? !
That must have been wonderful, Sue, I'm jealous. I occasionally pass his house at Hammersmith and wish I could go in. And I'm still regretting that I never made it to last year's Peggy Angus exhibition. April-August, Christine.
Hi Mary. Just found your blog. I'll be following your list of exhibitions. I love Eric Ravillious, so does my mum, and I live not to far from Dulwich Picture Gallery. Quite close in miles but a world away. I'll be inviting her up to see this exhibition. I've got an Eric Ravillious coronation mug, 1953, inherited. Have to say, it's a 'seconds'. My grandparents lived in the Potteries & often got 'seconds' very cheaply.
Hello Katharine. And now I've just been over to discover your blog which is right up my street! I'd love to own a Coronation mug, seconds or not!
