Fish and chip shop, David Hockney
Lovely, exuberant exhibition of Hockney prints at Dulwich Picture Gallery. This was an early one when he was still a student.

Self-portrait, July, 1986

He's always inventive. He photocopied his shirt ...
(I'm tempted to try this at home.)

There's more here. It was a delight on a chilly, grey day.

Missed you by one day Mary! I too was rather fascinated by the shirt. Matisse yesterday. Were you there?

Not yet, Lucille. Somebody said to me yesterday that it was very crowded with people smiling!

I had a 10 am ticket in my hand when it opened and whizzed through to the end so that I could have many of the rooms virtually to myself and then meandered back and forth for an hour. I don't mind not having things in chronological order, but I do mind crawling round and jostling so it worked for me. There were lots of happy people there by the time I left.

That's a good idea. I find the end of the day often works well, too.

I would never be able to walk around a gallery but I am so pleased to know that you like DH as much as I do. Thank you so much.

Sorry you can't get there in person, Toffeeapple. There is another Hockney exhibition just opened at Annely Juda - lots to enjoy on the website.
