On my walk through the lanes yesterday ... the last of the snowdrops, clouds of white blossom, daffodils and primroses, crocuses and scilla and, in gardens, the first tulips and magnolia.
Today, sadly, tee-shirt weather has reverted to coat and scarf weather.
But I do have a jug of blossom by my desk.

Just wondering what you thought of Patriots Day? It's getting mixed reviews here in Boston,so I'm curious. We're having the same weather shifts here, by the way!
I just wish the weather would make up its flipping mind!
xx
Mediocre and completely forgettable, Audrey! I gather that the central character - the policeman - was a composite of several different people which is perhaps why he didn't ring true. I did wonder if it would strike more of a chord with local audiences (if it didn't offend them as exploitative) but over here, it just seemed like any old second-rate action movie. It has had some good reviews, though.
Do you carry secateurs in your purse, Mary! Whenever I've tried to bring home the prize of a lovely flower or two, pinched from the field, it never ends very well. The stalks end up being the stringy sort...
I must be a good puller, Darlene! Blossom snaps off quite nicely. And there's so much of it, you don't feel guilty. I still have that branch from Saturday, the lovely fresh leaf buds now opening out.
