I didn't realise that this was the third book of a trilogy until I'd finished it, but it's a real page-turner - based on fact - about the precarious lives of the elite in Stalin's Russia.
You'll just gave to read the other two books now, Mary! I'd have to. If I find something is part of a trilogy I just have to read the complete thing or I'd be fretting about it forever! xxx

Yes! I enjoyed Stalin: The Court of the Red Tsar, if enjoyed is the right word for such a horrifying book. I didn't realise there was a trilogy.

Maybe I'll work backwards, Vronni - I liked the sound of the second book better than the first one.
