    Serendipity is when ...

You nip out for a pint of milk.

Get mugged by a sticky Polish jam doughnut.

And arrive home to find that the new Persephone Biannually is on
     the mat.

My idea of a perfect lunchbreak.

Yes! The Persephone Biannually dropped on my doormat this morning and I'm just settling down with a cup of tea to read it. Always a treat!

Mine is here too with a flapjack!

The Persephone calorie count ticking away across the nation!

Grin, I had mine with my green tea yesterday, did wish I had a biscuit or two to go with it!

Far too abstemious, Alex. You must try harder!

I read mine yesterday whilst consuming a bag of Quavers - that doesn't have the right sort of ring to it, does it?

mary said...

No, Toffeeapple, Quavers are not suitable for Persephone ladies. You might get away with Kettle crisps? But I think homemade cheese straws would be more the thing.

I am in awe of your sticking power, Sue - to the fast days, I mean. I struggle with a fast hour.

I remember Rachel was very taken by Heat Lightning. But I keep meaning to treat myself to Patience.

This is happy news! It also means daily walks to the mailbox for the next couple of weeks, compulsively reaching into our cubby up to my elbow, to check if the overseas batch has arrived.

You cross paths with the best treats, Mary.
