Black Swan
is
bizarre,
erotic,
totally barking mad
and
absolutely beautiful ...

And I lapped up
every
preposterous
minute
and
wished
it was
twice as long.

Even if there were moments when I had to whimper and cover my eyes.

I can still see the finger skin being pulled back...

Amazing film, eh? I loved it too, despite the unexpected amounts of gore! And the costumes were simply divine.

That was a horrible bit, Rachel ... and all the toe-cracking! But it looked fabulous.

Not unless you're up to explaining all that swan on swan action, Sue!

I second Rachel's comment about her finger...blech, shiver and blech again!

Such a gripping film and I will be rooting for Natalie on Oscar night. There are some clips on youtube, Mary, should you want to glimpse a scene once again.

I read somewhere that she did most of the dancing herself, Darlene - which is surely worth an Oscar!

I was too frightened by the trailer to even think about seeing the movie! K x

It's not for the squeamish, Kristina.

I'm going tomorrow afternoon. There was me thinking it was an 'arty' film, now I'm discovering it's a thriller! Can't wait.

Sounds wonderful, I hope to see it before too long. There is a Morgana picture (photographed by Rebecca Litchfield) that the film poster reminds me of:

Definitely a resemblance there, Dark Puss. Hope you enjoy the film.
